Motifs/Patterns: The body of the saree is crafted in a rich indigo blue base, exuding elegance and depth. Scattered across the body are exquisite meenakari floral motifs in striking shades of red, pink and gold. The meenakari technique brings out a multi-dimensional effect, making each flower bloom with vibrancy and life. The floral bootas are thoughtfully spaced, allowing the texture of Tassar silk to shine while still maintaining a regal opulence. The sareeís pallu is grand and heavy, woven with intricate zari work that elevates the drape into a true statement piece. The pallu showcases fine craftsmanship with delicate geometric and floral zari weaving, creating a dense, ornamental look. The shimmer of the zari against the deep indigo silk is balanced beautifully by the contrasting pink highlights, making the pallu the centerpiece of the saree.
Border Details: The border is truly magnificent, featuring an antique gold zari weave. What sets it apart is the temple-inspired designósharp triangular patterns that line the edges, adding both tradition and grandeur. Meenakari Technique ñ Originating in Banaras, this involves adding colored resham (silk threads) into the zari patterns to give multi-hued floral effects, visible in the borders, pallu, and booties. Kadhua Weave ñ A traditional Banarasi technique where motifs are woven separately into the fabric (not embroidered), ensuring durability and precision.
