To weave them into one seamless saree, the artisan must carefully calibrate the warp tension, beat, and reed count as the weave transitions from one yarn type to the other. The join has to be so precise that the saree falls as one fluid piece — with no break, no bulge, and no visible seam — despite the two fabrics having completely different weights, drapes, and densities.
